Signs of the Season

The time of swimming, cookouts, and nightly walks around the block is upon us. Yes, I'm talking about summer. With some of the sunshine we've had lately, my family has been taking advantage of some sure signs of the time. For example, Matt loves to wear his Hawaiian shirts when the warm weather comes.

And speaking of those summer walks, poor little Kenli received her first matching set of scraped knees while taking a stroll around the block. The tears came from Mommy as well as Kenli!

And Kenli also likes to sneak into the garage to steal a bag of fireworks every now and then. No worries, they are the little bags that 'pop' when you throw them on the ground. She really, really, enjoys those.

The girls love to travel in the wagon. When they see it, they just have to go for a ride. Can you see it in Keira's face?

And did I mention the ice cream truck is starting to circle the block on a nightly basis? Kenli experienced her first push-up pop from the the ice cream man-- looks like she really enjoyed it. Can you tell that it was orange flavor?

I'm sure there will be many more summery treats to enjoy soon enough. But for now, we are enjoying what we have!

How fun, I am loving the warm weather, the kids go outside early and come in late, sweaty and exahusted, it makes the house not feel so small that's for sure! Such cute little girls!
