A bunch of my friends got together to celebrate my friend Carrie's birthday. We went to the same place where a bunch of my friends surprised me for my 30th birthday. It is so much fun.
The people who work at the store make a bunch of different paintings, and then people come in and we choose what we want to paint. I chose to make this bird and change the colors.
I think it turned out okay.
I've never fancied myself much of a painter, though.
My little sugar baby Boushka has been working very hard on her letter 'm.' She spends much of her free time playing around with the length of her 'm'--trying to figure out just exactly how it should look. And just a couple of weeks ago she really nailed it.
Mama was quite proud of her.
K-man and I are always hanging out.
He sneaks into our bed in the wee hours of the morning. haha! But he always wakes up so happy. And this makes me so happy.
Playing and working on standing up at his stand table--making super cute faces.
And playing with what I think may be his favorite toy--the orange ball. And I needed a picture of this cutie in his McCutie shirt.
I love his eyes. Oh those eyes...
And in early March little guy had a little bug. It was just awful one day, and I thought that maybe he was too dehydrated. Well, then he woke up perky, but minutes later he was lethargic while his cap-refill was at about 5-6 seconds. And then he would be perky again. Since I had already made the appointment, we went to it. He had been throwing up quite a bit, and our doctor is 30 miles away, so I asked my sister to ride in the back with him to and from just in case he threw up. Well, no throw up. And he was a little show off for our doctor. Needless to say, he was on the mend and getting rehydrated.
The two big girls are Daisy Scouts, and we had some fun at an International Fair a few weeks ago.
We visited several countries--sampling treats, buying bracelets and little flags. One of the countries we visited was Japan.
I went on a field trip with Peach and her class. We made our own pizzas and had lunch before traveling over to the Art Lab.
The grown ups got pizza too.
At the Art Lab we had an opportunity to play at several different stations.
Here we are being silly in one of those weird mirrors. What a fun kiddo. I had so much fun with her. I love going on field trips with her. I can't wait until I can go on more with the other kiddos too!
This is Peach with her friend while at a birthday party on St. Patrick's Day.Peach. She went skating for pretty much the first time in her life. She went once as a 2 1/2 year old, but she could hardly manage on the skates. And for her first time, I was super impressed.
Little Boushka and I went to a Breakfast Dinner at her school recently. We got to wear our pj's, eat pancakes and sausage, and listen to the teachers read bed time stories. Oh my goodness did we have such fun! I loved snuggling up with her during story time.
The other weekend I got the bug to remake the girls' bathroom. We have this one bathroom for all the kids, but it's too small for all of them to really be able to use it. We pretty much bathe them in our bathroom already. They also brush their teeth in there, get in their pj's, watch tv, snuggle up for story time---everything they do is in our room. But with our older girls beginning to show some maturity and independence, we decided to let them have this bathroom. I wanted to make it special for them, so we just did a few updates. I don't have a before picture (wish I would have thought of that), but here are some after shots. The towels, shower curtain, shower curtain rings, rugs, and hand towel are all new. It used to be a jungle theme, and now it's a little more girly. But I don't think it's overly girly. And please ignore the little potty and bleach in the next couple pictures.
This isn't a great shot of the hand towel, but it's cute. And the girls really loved it. And the white towel isn't a new one, but Peach's coral towel was in the wash.
I really didn't try to stage anything for these photos--can you tell? This shower curtain is too cute.
My poor Bug fell a couple of times in one week recently. This one was a pretty good tumble. My poor girl. She had a couple of bruises on her legs form the other falls.
Bug and I had lunch with Brownie the other day. We had cheeseburgers, and Brownie actually loved them. Bug did too, but she is a pretty good eater. We had a good time at school.
And then we got to go to recess.
We had one nice day--in the 70s--in the midst of all the snow. We had a picnic lunch, some alligatgor time, and some Auntie time.
We were able to watch a show with the elephants. The girls and I enjoyed seeing them bathe, paint, move tires, eat, bow, and talk. Yeah, I had no idea what they sounded like. So funny to hear them make noise that wasn't a trumpet.
I didn't want to leave this little girl out. Two of her favorite things right now are taking silly pictures with me and building towers.
Sometimes we can be more serious--haha! But not often.
And here we are at the 80's dance. The girls' school put it on.
Alright, there's a ton more to update on, but it's late. And I think this post is plenty long!
