So as I'm sure it's no surprise to anybody reading this, our first month with our baby boy flew by. We stayed so busy doing our everyday life things, and I feel I haven't snapped nearly enough photos. I'm working on that!
I did sit him down for a little photo shoot. I had no help for most of it since it was during nap time when the light was good, but that meant to daddy home to help get his attention. So it's not the best set of photos, but it's what I got thus far. I do have another mini photo shoot planned. I made him a onzie back in July. And I pictured him wearing it for his one month photo shoot surrounded by pumpkins. You'll see it soon enough!
The lion will make an appearance in all of his monthly pictures to help us visually chart his growth.
Ol' Blue Eyes on his blue blanky from Granny!
I've been dreaming of giving my son a mohawk for years. This is what we've got to work with so far.
He's a curious little guy. He is always looking around checking things out--or he's passed out in our arms.
In his first month of life he's been to several soccer games, the doctor twice (for him) and other times for other people, to preschool drop offs, the store, the dance studio, and out to eat once on mom and dad's date night at Carinos. But he's a great eater, so he's boosting that immune system. So far, he's all healthy!
He sleeps so well for a newborn. I hope I don't jinx us, but we've been getting good 4-5 hour stretches since he's been home. Well, until a couple nights ago. This kid has recently turned into a hungry child with a working man's appetite. I guess he's working on growing!
He used to eat every few hours during the day and every 4-5 at night, but now he's eating several times in an hour or two. But occassionally, he'll give us a few hours of rest between all those feedings.
We love you Hunk. You've certainly brought so much life and joy to our family--and your sisters all adore you. They all try to help in their own little way. I'm not sure that we always appreciate it (like Scrunchie's habit of stealing your binky and throwing it or running off with it--she'll swipe it right out of your mouth), but it's all in good fun. And your older sisters actually do help out by holding you or feeding you a bottle. And with life as busy as it is, this is a huge blessing to us all.
Happy one month, sweet boy. We look forward to sharing this next one with you too!
