Over the course of the last few weeks, my family and I have been enjoying the new fall season. You've already seen our pumpkin patch pictures, but we've had some other fun as well!
Here is my pumpkin patch--I created this quick decoration piece in literally 5 minutes! I love crafts that I can do between feedings and diaper changes (BIG SMILE)
Here is a shelf in our living room--a bit overcrowded since I hadn't removed any "regular" decor--it has a few crafts displayed on and near it (I made the jack o' lantern jars a year ago, so they aren't featured on this post).
I couldn't decide if this wreath should hang outdoors or in, but when the wind picked up suddenly one day--well, I decided that my hard work wasn't going to be allowed to just blow away. So I moved it inside!
Are you seeing a theme? Here is another 5 minute craft. Okay, maybe it took a few more minutes than 5, but if I had time to fit it in, just about anybody could. Have I ever mentioned that my kids like to keep me busy by not sleeping, or asking questions, or refusing to use a toilet so I still have to change their diapers, or by getting these ridiculous allergies that I have to cook crazy foods for and plan meals like you wouldn't believe... you know, the typical things my hooligans do! Man I love them (HEARTS, SMILES, CHEERS)!
We like to do a family night once a week (it usually ends up on Friday because that's the one day we don't have to be anywhere at night), and earlier this season we painted pumpkins. I painted Scrunchie's!
Paint, Brownie, paint!
Contemplating colors...
I birthed this child and I'm still not sure what she's thinking here (or ever, for that matter)!
Exploring with colors!
"Mmmmm... baby head. Smell good!" (Hey Matt, here's your incentive to read the family blog. Things like this caption happen when you aren't looking. HA!)
Hard at work!
Proud Brownie--look at her artist techniques of being perfect. No mess. No fuss. Just perfect little segments of color on her pumpkin! If there's ever a "Next Pumpkin Design Star" tv show, this is your girl!
I can't even paint this neatly!
Lovin' every minute of it!
Practicing her grip for future writing! Work those mad fine motor skillZ!
She's always this deep. HA!
I might just pick a day where I kick everyone out of the house so I can do some fall baking. I'd only kick them out because it'd be pure torture to make pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate chip pumpkin bread, maple frosted cinnamon rolls, apple cookies, and apple cinnamon muffins and not be able to share with my allergy kiddos. I seriously think it'd hurt me worse, you know-- because not only do I have to witness their pain, but I'd also be forced to take on their share of the food. Oh, responsibilities!
