Way too much fun!

Many midwesterners have received a decent amount of snow recently. And today I actually got to stay home and enjoy it with my girls. This is Keira's first time to play in the snow. Kenli got to try it out about a year ago. But as you can see from the story and pictures below, it took a while to get used to this new powdery stuff!

So here's a glimpse of how my afternoon went.

"Hey girls, do you want to put on your new Princess snow boots and go sledding?"

"Mom, I want to try to walk on the snow before I even think about getting on the sled."

"EWWW, it's not as fun as you made it sound!"

"Mama, I don't even want to walk in it. Can you just pick me up, please!"

"Daddy, I don't like this. "

(zoom in on above picture)"HEEEELLLLPPP!!" I don't like it at all."

"Oh, geez mom. I'm glad I made it through that."

"Hey girls, don't stare right at the sun. It can hurt your eyes." (Just kidding. They're looking at the geese flying north to the river).

"Let's get back on the sled."....

"I don't know mom. I don't think I'm going to like this."

"It's okay, Keira. The snow is cool. See, you can play in it like this."

"Well would you look at that. I've got snow on my boots."

"Okay, we'll try this sledding thing one more time, mom."

Well, could you do a couple of cute poses before we take off-- for mommy, PLEASE!!!"

"How's this one? AHHHH!!"

"Look mom, I'm silly too."

"Oh alright, I'll cooperate and smile."

"Hey, let's kiss one more time so she'll hurry up and get this photo stuff over with and we can go sledding."

"Now can we go mom? PLEAAASSSEEE???"

"Okay, girls. We can go."
