Hunk turned 7 months recently.
I love that he is growing and thriving in this crazy world,
but there is a bit of me that is not liking the fact that he is closer to 1 year than he is to being a newborn.
Thankfully he is still down with the cuddles.
Especially if he is tired.
I just love this adorable little man.
I'm pretty sure I've said this about him every monthly update, but I just can't help myself.
He has a terrific little personality.
He really is a pretty happy baby...
... especially if he is being held.
But before I eat him up with a spoon, here are some fun Hunk facts...
This boy
-weighs in around 18 and 1/2 pounds
-wears a size 3 diaper (though I think I should move him to 4s)
-absolutely
cannot fit into 0-3 month clothing (I only note this because I was at
the grocery store when he had a BAD blowout and all I had for spare
clothing was a 0-3 month onzie--it didn't even cover his tummy. I still
can't believe I fit it on over his head).
-is babbling "da-da" all day long, among many other consonant sounds
-"talks" all the time
-gets stranger danger if I'm in the room and somebody else is holding him
-is sleeping much better--I should note that he only sleeps better at night. His naps leave much to be desired
-doesn't much care for food--stinnker!
-still loves his sisters
-seemed
to enjoy watching the girls play soccer--he loves the motion--this was
only when he wasn't sleeping in the carrier daddy had him in
-still
eats mostly breast milk--he only needs a couple bottles of formula a
week--and that's mostly because I can't keep a schedule well enough to
always be available to pump when he needs me to. But I'm happy with all
that he does get.
-got his picture taken in a shirt and tie with the Easter Bunny and his sisters
-enjoys playing on the floor much more
-still loves his jumper and entertainer
-he loves scratching his fingers back and forth over any surface
-all objects, once handled in both hands, go straight for his mouth
-has some red hair
-has skin that is clearing up very nicely, but will occasionally break out still
-goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes around 6
-is the best little snuggle bear I could ask for
Love you, my sweet!

Easter 2013
We had a wonderful Easter we had.
Of course we dyed eggs. All of us participated, but I could only snap a few photos.
Here are all the goodies the kids got in their Easter baskets. The little gator toy is Hunk's (obviously).
We enjoyed seeing the kids get all excited for their basket goodies.
They all got shoes, a bug catcher, a new cup, a plate, and a something for their hair.
Undies, fun socks, and leggings were also a hit.
They each received a few more individually specific items, as well as candy.
All in all, I'd say the kids made out like bandits.
They always do.
This one is modeling her new Minnie Mouse hat.
Here they are getting ready to head out to the front yard to find eggs hidden by the bunny.
We turned them loose.
We dyed 30 eggs, and sure enough the bunny hid them all.
Yes, he jumped in on the phone.
I enjoyed watching them go on the hunt.
I wish he would've had on a cute Easter outfit, but I snapped a few cute pictures of him in is basket.
Of course we needed a few outtakes.
The eggs make tasty treats to gnaw on.
He is just too cute for words.
Once everyone was finished hunting eggs, my family joined my mom and sister for an Easter Brunch.
Everyone was dressed in their Sunday best.
Here are some cuties enjoying their muffins and bacon--breakfast of champions!
And my Brownie enjoying a brownie--these particular brownies were delicious!
And here are some cuties by the waterfall in the restaurant.
They make my life so happy.
And of course this little guy does too. Next year he'll be able to stand up at the waterfall, too!
We tried taking some family pictures, but it's just pretty complicated with so many littles running around. Here are the grand kids with my mom.
And here is my crew. Again, we're not all looking (not to mention it was very bright out), but I'll take what I can get.
Once pictures were complete, the girls (and Hunk) came inside to open baskets from grandma.
They got plenty of goodies from her, too.
So many fun spring toys and stuff to play with outside.
She also got them a raised garden set up. We are all very excited to finally get some spring weather so we can plant all of our goodies.
It was a special day spent with very special people. And the weather was much more like spring than anything we've seen since then.
